Terms of Service

Who provides the service

Gamersaurus Lex is personally operated by Lex. Contact: lex@gamersauruslex.com.

These terms cover Gamersaurus Lex website accounts and directly booked tabletop roleplaying campaigns. StartPlaying bookings are completed through StartPlaying and are subject to its booking and payment policies. The Gamersaurus Lex Conduct & Safety Policy applies at our tables and in our campaign community regardless of booking route.

Who can play and what you need

Players must be at least 18. If you book additional seats, every attending player must meet that requirement.

We play online using Discord for voice and Foundry VTT for the tabletop. You need a computer, reliable internet connection, and microphone. A webcam is optional. No Foundry license purchase is required; campaign preparation instructions explain any account requirements.

You must provide accurate booking information and keep your contact information current. Do not use another person’s identity or payment method without permission. Contact Lex if you need help accessing your account or campaign.

Joining a campaign

You book a seat in a series of sessions, with no long-term commitment. Your confirmation identifies the campaign, number of seats, first eligible session, and price. New campaigns may show Session Zero with its date still to be determined. No booking payment is collected merely to join a campaign or save a card.

Ordinarily your first session is the next scheduled session. If you book within one hour of its start, that imminent session is excluded from participation and billing; your first eligible session is the following occurrence.

If you join between one and 24 hours before your first session and cannot attend, contact Lex on Discord. Lex will allow you to skip that first session without charge, if needed. You do not need to leave the campaign; you do need to contact Lex so the skip can be recorded.

Discord connection happens after confirmed booking. Connection delays do not cancel a seat or automatically excuse attendance. Contact Lex promptly if you need help, including by email if you cannot access Discord.

Price and payment

Your confirmation shows the session subtotal, service fee (5%), and exact total. A 5% business service fee covers overhead and transaction costs for direct billing.

Direct billing requires a saved payment method with Stripe. Gamersaurus Lex does not store your card number. By enrolling, you authorize charges for billable sessions at the agreed rate and disclosed service fee under the approved Billing Policy.

Website enrollment offers per-session billing.

Rates and fees may change, with at least one week’s notice before a change takes effect.

If one payer books multiple seats, each attending player’s attendance or timely skip determines whether that seat is billable. An unclaimed reserved seat still occupies capacity and remains payable unless timely skipped or released. Contact Lex if you booked the wrong number of seats.

Skipping a session

A session is billable when it takes place as scheduled. A timely skip avoids that session’s charge. Skip through the RSVP widget in the campaign’s Discord #schedule channel or by Discord DM to Lex at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Late skips and no-shows are billable unless Lex makes an exception.

The official start time for the cancellation deadline is the time shown in the Discord RSVP widget at the 24-hour deadline. A reschedule by more than 24 hours creates a make-up session with a new cancellation deadline. A reschedule by 24 hours or less does not reset the original deadline.

Leaving a campaign

You can leave a campaign at any time using the Leave Campaign option on My Campaigns & Billing at www.gamersauruslex.com. Your departure for the campaign becomes effective immediately if you use this method. You can also leave the campaign by sending Lex an email at lex@gamersauruslex.com or on Discord @GamersaurusLex, but your departure becomes effective once Lex processes it if you use either method.

If you leave before a session starts using My Campaigns & Billing, you will not be charged for that session, including when you leave inside the 24-hour window. If you leave by sending Lex an email or Discord message, you will not be billed for that session so long as Lex can process your request before the session starts. This differs from skipping a session while keeping your campaign seat. Leaving releases your seat at the table and stops future enrollment charges; it does not erase valid charges for earlier sessions.

Refunds

Sessions that do not take place are not billable. If you are charged for a session that did not take place, a refund is guaranteed. All other refund requests are handled by Lex on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable law.

Waitlist

Joining a waitlist does not book a seat, save a card, or create a charge. Offers follow the order of the waitlist. When an eligible seat becomes available and it is your turn, we email you an offer with 24 hours to confirm a booking. An unclaimed offer expires and passes to the next person. An offer is not a guaranteed booking until confirmation succeeds. Only a single seat can be claimed off the waitlist at a time.

Conduct, safety, and removal

Follow the Conduct & Safety Policy and campaign-specific boundaries. Lex may pause a session or remove a participant to address misconduct or protect the group. Refund requests following removal are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Campaign materials and privacy

Campaign materials are provided for participation in your game. All rights, including the rights of third-party creators, are reserved.

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Questions, charges, and changes

Contact Lex via email at lex@gamersauruslex.com or @GamersaurusLex on Discord about booking problems, charges, or conduct concerns.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms and disputes arising from your use of Gamersaurus Lex services are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This provision does not limit any mandatory consumer protections available under applicable law.

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings arising from these Terms or the services must be brought in the state courts located in Escambia County, Florida, or the federal court serving that county if it has jurisdiction. You and Gamersaurus Lex consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.

Severability and waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

Related policies and conflicting terms

These Terms, the Billing Policy, the Conduct & Safety Policy, and the campaign details accepted at booking govern your participation. If the Billing Policy conflicts with these Terms concerning charges, cancellation, departure, or refunds, these Terms control. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

Changes to these Terms

Other than rates and fees, these Terms may change at any time, without notice. Changes will not retroactively alter charges or obligations already incurred. Changes to rates or fees require at least one week’s notice, as described above.
